Constellation covets Biliran GT project

In the Philippines, Constellation Energy Corp. is looking into financing and developing seven potential renewable energy projects, including a geothermal project in Biliran Leyte. The company calls them potential projects because the projects are still under review and that Constellation is still negotiating with project proponents. The Biliran project belongs to Filtech Energy Drilling Corp. and Constellation would provide financial services while Filtech would cover the technical aspects. Meanwhile, Geysir Green Energy is also on the island, where it began surface exploration in 2008. The company intends to begin construction of a 50 MW project in 2010.
