Mahandong A plant back on stream at half output

In the Philippines, the 60 MW Mahanagdong A geothermal power plant Unit 2 in Leyte was back on stream February 9 operating at 30 MW. The plant was to resume full operation on the 10th. A number of plants were offline for maintenance beginning February 1 leaving the grid at a deficit of 220 MW. Mahanagdong Unit 1 will be back to the grid on February 16 and the 50 MW Cebu Thermal 1 plant will be back in operation February 23.
