Reservoir gets three more Serbian GT permits
In Canada, Reservoir Capital Corp. said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Southern European Exploration D.o.o. has been granted three additional licenses to explore for geothermal energy in the Vojvodina Region of northern Serbia. Historical oil, gas and geothermal exploration in these areas – Kupusina, Adorijan and Vrbica – have shown aquifer temperatures in excess of 200 C. The Kupusina license has seven historical drill holes executed that intercepted limestone and sandstone aquifers at depths ranging from 190 ft to 4,500 ft and reservoir temperatures estimated to be in excess of 80 C with potential of up to 160 C. The Adorijan-Novi Knezevac and the Banatsko Arandjelovo-Vrbica licences lie close to each other in northern Serbia near the Hungarian border and hold 24 drill holes. The holes intercepted a series of hot water aquifers in sandstones at depths between 1,380 and 6,100 ft with reservoir temperatures estimated to be higher than 90 C for most of the deeper aquifers, with potential in excess of 200 C for one of the deeper drill holes.
