Amec awarded Hudson Ranch engineering contract
In Georgia, engineering and project management company Amec has picked up a $6.8 million contract from EnergySource to provide engineering services for the 49 MW Hudson Ranch I project at Salton Sea, CA. The Imperial Valley geothermal power plant is to be a stand-alone triple-flash operation using high-temperature crystallizer reactor clarifier technology. Amec will be responsible for design, engineering, training and assistance during the construction and start-up phase. Work on the project has begun and is expected to be complete by 2012.
