Qualibou signs to deliver power to St. Lucia utility

In Nevada, Qualibou Energy, Inc. said it will deliver all electricity from phase one of its geothermal power project to St Lucia Electricity Services Ltd. LUCELEC, as it known, is the sole electric utility of St Lucia. The island has a peak electricity demand of 56 MW and LUCELEC currently generates all of the consumed electricity with diesel fuel. Geothermal power will cut St Lucia’s carbon footprint significantly, enhancing its exotic destination reputation.
