In Italy, Enel Green Power has started up a new 20 MW of geothermal unit at a plant in central Italy. EGP’s plant near Siena in Tuscany is now 60 MW with the new unit on-line. The company now features 742 MW of geothermal capacity. Geothermal represents 12.6% of EGP’s total capacity of 5,884 MW.
